Aug 01, 2017 · The belt is for back support which is what your abs normally do but don't when you have separation. It's mainly for prevention of back pain and pelvic girdle pain. Onviously all physio's recommend slightly different things. I always used to recommend the tubigrip to everyone until I kept getting feedback like yours.

There is no way it can squash the babies head! It can't make your pelvis smaller than it is and the baby is safely protected by all those bones, besides that the head is tiny at the moment and flexible. The plates of the head overlap a bit so the baby can be born.

Feb 15, 2012 · So far it's mostly to support my under-belly. I'm hoping it's just a size too small tubigrip and/or the support belt works. Not sure I want to fork out for the support pants for only about 8 weeks or so. Had a bit of pain starting in the groin area as well in the past couple of weeks.
