Jul 30, 2014 · Since Trim Enabler works by unlocking the Trim driver for 3rd party SSD’s, kext signing prevents Trim Enabler to enable Trim on Yosemite, at least out of the box. Currently, there is only one way to continue to use Trim Enabler and continue to get Trim for your third party SSD, and that is to disable the kext signing requirement.

Jun 03, 2014 · Just tried this fix in OS X Yosemite DP5 a couple seconds ago and after deleting and reinstalling Trim Enabler and putting in the first terminal command and then rebooting, I tried running TRIM Enabler and the computer said TRIM enabler is a broken App and should be moved to the trash.

Nov 11, 2014 · Other modern operating systems which support TRIM simply check to see if the drive reports that is supports TRIM. If the drive says "yes", the OS enables TRIM support on the drive. End of story - no special drivers, no security issues, you have TRIM if the drive says that it can handle it.
