Jun 12, 2015 · If accurate, that just deflated my happiness with having TRIM and (hopefully soon) Continuity running El Capitan (via kext hack for upgraded BTLE card). Stay with El Capitan with better performance and security, or go back to Yosemite with the aforementioned benefits, and not as good on performance and security compared to El Capitan?

Jun 08, 2015 · I certainly hope OS X El Capitan will have TRIM support for non-Apple branded SSDs. Currently my MacBook Pro has a Samsung 1TB SSD with Mavericks 10.9.5 installed and if Apple refuses to support TRIM for non-Apple branded SSDs I'm not even going to bother.

May 02, 2016 · Sorry If I missed something, but I would like to ask whether I can safely enable TRIM on my new SSD drive. I have upgraded my MBP Late 2011 with new Samsung EVO 850 drive, and did not find any clear confirmation that it is safe/recommended to enable it under El Capitan.
