May 09, 2007 · Re: Transom mount for Teleflex steering i cut a 2" piece of angle, and drilled 2 holes in it, on each face.. if it is the front mount one into the motor bracket, and one into the cable end. if it have the steering arm like the picture, just bolt it. the transom mount needs to swivel, look at my link, so the engine can be tilted.

Hi there, I need to replace the steering cable on my 1973 Seabird V24, with an OMC Sterndrive 225. The cable goes through the transom via a ball, and clamps onto the outside of the outdrive.
