May 31, 2007 · The version of the PCRE library which is bundled with PHP add-on is 6.7 . But in your case 5.0 version of the library is used and that I think, is compiled without UTF-8 support. Web Server's lib directory too has pcre library and looks like this is getting used. That means you must have configured the Web Server to use PHP as NSAPI plugin.

Dec 06, 2008 · There is a problem with your PCRE extension, which is a PHP extension and not at all something Drupal has control over. Are you on a shared web-host, and if so, have them check the PHP extensions which are enabled. If they compiled PHP themselves, make sure they include the PCRE extensions.

PHP says “PCRE is not compiled with UTF-8”. I have a webserver with some personal websites and stuff, it's running Debian Lenny, Apache 2 and PHP 5. I always use apt to install stuff. This weekend, I tried installing Ruby on Rails just for fun. I didn't get it working, but that's a problem for another time.
