    According to someone on the support forum of ThinPrint this problem can be caused by one of the following: 1) The TP Client is not started. 2) The TP Client is not a TCP/IP client. 3) The ThinPrint TCP/IP port number on the server does not match the port number on the client.

    Problem: In Windows Server 2012 OS the “devices and printers” view is empty. However the ‘print management’ console shows all printers correctly. Cause: In Windows 8 and W2012 server, this is normal. For this view to show devices/printers, the bluetooth service needs to be enabled in Windows 8 for it to show devices/printers.

    I havent figured out how to get McAfee to control the ThinPrint Port Monitor either. I was given two options: 1. prevent printer objects from being created by stopping the TP Autoconnect Service. 2. use a print server with their ThinPrint Server Engine. The second one seems to allow more fine tuning and granular controls on who prints where.
