Sep 23, 2019 · The server does not support a SSL connection. Right-click on the account name in the folder pane and select Properties. On the Advanced tab, deselect This server requires a secure connection (SSL). When you've done this, click Work offline and remove any unsent messages from the outbox (below the account folders in the folder pane).

If this is Outlook / Windows Live Mail, it simply means that you have a tick under "This server requires a secure connection (SSL)". Go to Tools > Accounts, then double click on the account and go to the Advanced Tab. Untick this and check what port your provider uses.

Usually, port 25 doesn't use encryption, so if your mail server requires you to use port 25, then disable encryption. If, on the other hand, your server needs encryption, it will use a different port, usualloy 485 or 587. Check the help pages at your mail providers web site for instructions on how to properly configure your mail client.
