There has been a change in Texas divorce law in September, 2013. Under Texas law, there is a cap in the monthly net resources used when calculating child support. Prior to September, 2013, the cap in the monthly net resources was $7,500.00 per month. Beginning September 1, 2013, the child support cap increased to $8,550.00 per month.
