I found a solution that may help with the Flash Player installation. I have Windows XP Home and Internet Explorer 7. I did EVERYTHING tech support and other users suggested, but had no luck on Internet Explorer. I followed the suggestion to download Firefox, and then I was able to download and use Flash Player, but it would only work with Firefox.

May 17, 2006 · After i have agreed to install it the same message appears, and i still can't see any flash content . I'm sure I had flash player 8 previously installed. I've been around the forums and the technical support but i haven't found any solution. My OS is Windows XP SP2, my web browser is IE 6.

I believe I have figured out the solution. Go to this "Uninstaller Link"and click on "download the windows uninstaller." Follow the prompts and completely uninstall the player and Active X. Once this is done go to download Flash Player 9 and it will install the complete version instead of the update...
