Jul 22, 2008 · In the VI-Control.net/forum thread, a Tascam employee twice confirmed in writing that the product line had been discontinued. We confirmed this in the story with a link to the Legacy page at Tascam showing that the entire Giga line was now discontinued. I also submitted a screenshot of the page which Film Music Magazine has not yet posted.

As mentioned in last month's SOS News pages, from July 21st Tascam ceased further development of their PC-only Gigastudio software and related products such as GVI (Giga Virtual Instrument — the VSTi version of Gigastudio) and the Gigapulse convolution reverb plug-in. Product sales and support will also finish at the end of this year.
