Getting fuse4x installed on OSX Lion I tried out Fuse4x and sshfs for OSX, through Hombrew, this week-end. It should have been a piece of cake, but apparently the recipes aren't very good about telling when another fuse package is installed.

Sep 18, 2010 · If you need to quickly get back your NTFS drives you can just disable NTFS-3G from the NTFS-3G preference pane in System preferences (Apple menu->System preferences->NTFS-3G). It seems that MacFUSE is broken, or you're trying to use the software with an unsupported configuration such as the newer non-standard fully 64-bit kernel.

Jul 21, 2011 · I've also got the same problem popping up on a WD My Passport drive. The Windows disk check I ran came up without errors, and the drive seems to mount just fine on my two Windows machines, and the wife's MacBook (White).

I am getting the same behavior on OSX server 10.4.11 I was able to work around it by installing the MacFuse .pkg available on Google Code on top of the version installed by port.
