My system is a Intel 5820k(not overclocked) on an Asus x99-pro, 1080Ti founders edition and 32gb Corsair vengeance (in a 4x8gb configuration). "This system does not support full screen mode" ... Do you have any older operating system disks? This looks like it would be fixed with a VirtualPC environment - even though it's not officially supported you could install a VPC session running in DOS. But Any earlier Windows version would do.
