Sep 02, 2011 · What product do people use to backup their Citrix XenServer VMs? I've tried Backup Exec, but had problems getting a functional restore to work. I'm using the 2010 version. Are there extra agents I have to buy for this? I'm using Symantec System Recovery 2011 right now.

Greetings= It will be very good to have an option to chose between different hypervisor platforms. There are companies that have different hypervisors than VMWare. My idea is to add support for Citrix XenServer and Microsoft Hyper-V.

May 02, 2013 · I'm finding this absolutely hard to believe, but from everything I'm reading, Symantec Backup Exec still doesn't support Windows Server 2012? I just got done migrating about 2TB's worth of data to a new Server 2012 file server.

If the cost for all those Remote Agents is really too high, you could look into using scripts on XenServer to either create an offline or online backup and store them somewhere on 1 Windows host, which in turn you can back up with Backup Exec.
