I would like to contribute our config setup (for 2.4 and later, 3.0). The pay docs didn't seem to include much information about setting this up.

Dec 07, 2010 · One workaround to this problem would be to use the jTDS driver, but this dirver does NOT support XA transaction for sybase. If you don't need to have XA transaction support, you can take this approach by doing following updates. 1) update your jdbc Driver class to: net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver

We have had them for twenty five years, it is called Distributed Transaction Management and uses Two Phase Commit. Both are "built-in" to the server. AFAIK Sybase is "XA compliant"; since Sybase IS the datasource (not the XA Coordinator), it is one of the XA components.
