Nov 14, 2004 · I have been using the Strand7 FEA System for more than three years now for problems ranging from simple linear static problems, right through to the most complex dynamic problem and I can positively say that it is extremely user-friendly and its ability to import IGES files generated by Rhino and other systems, is a very big plus in my opinion.

This model of a fabricated sheet metal part was created in SolidWorks and later imported into Strand7 as an IGES model. The resulting surface mesh consists of 5054 predominantly quad elements.
