Feb 22, 2008 · The IRS states that "Stimulus payments will be subject to offset against outstanding tax and non-tax liabilities in the same fashion as regular tax refunds." That's legalese for if you owe money (back taxes, child support, student loans, etc.), they'll withhold it from your stimulus rebate check. See the reference below.
