Feb 28, 2005 · 6 Inch I Beams would work, with diagonal support at 70 degrees with strength equal to the 6 inch I beam and reinforce your uprights with 6 inch I Beams also. But I can not recommend this and take no liability in this matter, I asked my brother who is an ME and an NDT III. Jerry
