May 23, 2009 · As some might know the new vCenter is supported on Standard and Enterprise edition of SQL 2008 (both 32 and 64 bit), however Update Manager is only supported on Enterprise edition, not Standard. Have anyone tried it on SQL 2008 Standard? I assume VMware either lacked the time before the release or made a typo.

Vmware caused my issue with my restore by changing the settings in sql server 2008 and then refused to support that change with any information; as usual I had to figure it out: simple causes you to restore only the database and not the log and you have to configure your enterpriise backup sql server integration to accomplish this.
