May 06, 2009 · SQL Standard (per-processor) licensing is per-processor, not per-core. And SQL Server Standard supports up to 4 processors. That implies to me SQL Standard with a 4x quad-processor, will utilise all 16-cores. Thanks for the info and help. Oh I called a pre sales rep at Microsoft and he told me that SQL 2005 Standard and Windows server 2003 Standard Edition support a 2 node cluster. Since you think not I would like to get this confirmed again by someone.
