Aug 01, 2016 · If a student receives income-related benefits during the academic year they may be eligible to receive the Special Support Grant, this is also non-repayable and would replace the Maintenance Grant. Unlike the Maintenance Grant, the Special Support Grant will not affect the amount of Maintenance Loan the student can get.
