Jul 10, 2019 · Hi, In solarwinds how we configure the SNMP V3 trap.We didnot find any we SNMP trap configure In Solarwinds Dashboard.Only we have SNMP Trap viewer Section(Alerts & activity>Traps) for showing the Received Traps.In these section we have Filter option for the SNMP V1 and V2 traps only.We didnot find any Configuration section for SNMP V3 Trap.

There is no firewall between the Solarwinds server and the device. Find below my Cisco configuration: snmp-server group NMS v3 priv context NMS read NMS snmp-server view NMS iso included snmp-server user nms_user NMS v3 auth md5 password priv des56 password. Is there any log on the server? Debug snmp on the Cisco did not reveal anything.

Configure SNMP v3 on Linux/Unix systems. Orion agents support both SNMP v2 and v3. However, if an agent detects that SNMP v3 is already configured, it won't modify the existing configuration automatically. Instead, you'll need to provide SNMP credentials manually at the node level to allow access. Wait until agents are deployed to test credentials.
