Setting the first layer height to 0.35mm and the first extrusion width to 200% would result in a nice fat extrusion 0.65mm wide. Bed material. Many options exist for the material to use for the bed, and preparing the right surface can vastly improve first layer adhesion. PLA is more forgiving and works well on PET, Kapton, or blue painters tape.

Aug 23, 2019 · Pretty PLA was the groundwork of tons of smart people who all had issues when the MK3 launched. The original profiles in Slic3r:PE were a bit over the top with screaming 200-300mm/s print moves and overall the print quality was less than desirable.

I've been using the prusa slic3r since I got my prusa mk2s. I was having some problems with a print that needed some support material so I figured out why not try Cura. Wow what a difference in the support material. It broke away perfectly clean unlike the problems I was having with slic3r.
