Okay, so I've been trying to play the PC version of Skyrim using a controller, however the only one I have is a PS3 controller, and the only way that I've found to use it is to map its button presses onto the corresponding keys (WASD for the left stick, etc.). This works fine, however unlike the console version of the game there are many parts of the interface that don't work well with this setup.

I'm no expert on it, but IIRC Nexus Mod Manager still affects your actual data folder. Mod Organizer doesn't do that, so you can't damage your Skyrim install with it. It's less intuitive though, so it takes maybe longer to get the hang of. If you want a useful guide for it, go to youtube and search for 'Mod Organizer' and 'Gopher'.
