About the best you can do is (a) update to the latest BIOS; and then (b) try the CPU you want to use. The "safest" CPU is a T9550, since it's at least listed as one of the supported CPUs at the site referenced above -- HOWEVER, Asus's page makes no mention of that support, so even that isn't an absolute.
