Apr 15, 2014 · Option 1 to build two new VMWare Servers of similar size stood up with Windows 2008 SP1 with Microsoft Clustering. Then install Siebel gateway and Siebel server and any third party software. Current IBM VM or Intel team will support not Windows Veritas Clustering on VMWare servers.

Hi, We are upgrading from Siebel 7.7 to 8.1.1. Currently Siebel 7.7 architecture is running on vmware ESX 3.5 setup. If we move to 8.1.1, do we do have compatibility with ESX 3.5? Anybody is running Siebel 8.1.1 on Vmware ESX 3.5? We are not able to get clear answers from Oracle Support, so posting this question here. Thanks

We found our Seibel contants to be helpful and we arranged a conference call with our Siebel account manager, VMware account manager / SE, and an colleague who has done this work before as a reference to establish that Siebel will support you. We did not work with Siebel sales on this, instead we worked with Siebel support.
