Although not all devices support using two pipes, and/or the redirect (or tee) command. Again, it depends on your device and OS. UPDATE To have the update sent to your local computer as C:\output.txt is only possible, when using just the built in features on the switch, via URL redirection.

Well one thing cool about NX-OS is that you can redirect the output by appending >> or creating a file with > to the show tech. You can redirect the output to Bootflahs, slot0, or volatile memory. Once there, you can retrieve it vie FTP/TFTP and such. N7K1# show tech-support >> ?

Oct 18, 2010 · Can anyone point me in the right direction im trying to copy show-tech information to a .txt in a TFTP but having no luck with the command i found. Show tech-support redirect t ftp://address/File Name . device will not tak the command need to copy tech-support info for a 6513, 3750, and 3560. Thanks

The inevitable TAC call and the request for a Show Tech to help with the support. Normally this is not a big problem on most systems, but if you ever try this on somehting like a Nexus 7000 – it takes a loooooong time and pulls well over 100 megs of information in that file.
