May 23, 2013 · I always recommend the 24x7 support as it is not a big price increase. The base warranty covers hardware support and the product has to be sent back to Cisco first so you can be without it for several days to several weeks. As you had purchased thru Techsoup I would recommend talking to Cisco about pricing for the SmartNet
