Feb 07, 2017 · Actually for a vertical shaft(where there is a heavy axial load) the best bearings are taper roller bearings. If the load is heavy this is the best. But for light loads in small machines where the axial load is not severe u may even use the deep Grove ball bearings. They can take light axial loads.
