Aug 24, 2012 · Hi all, I have an MBean definition which is deployed on JBoss 5 and I'd like to port in on jBoss 7. Unfortunately I have seen that the org.jboss.system.ServiceMBean and org.jboss.system.ServiceMBeanSupport interfaces are not available any more in JBoss 7.. How do I port this MBean to JBoss 7 ?

This approach allows your MBean implementation to avoid dependencies on JBoss specific classes. If you are not bothered about dependencies on JBoss specific classes, then you can have your MBean interface extend the ServiceMBean interface and ServiceMBeanSupport class.
