Thanks for the info. According to various sources, the ServeRAID M5015 is apparently similar to a LSI MegaRAID SAS 9260-8i. The Windows drivers of some MegaRAID controllers reportedly support CSMI (see ticket #243 and drive-database mailing list).. This is apparently not the case here because /dev/csmiX,N is missing in smartctl --scan output.
