I can't seem to get SDL_Mixer to initialize with OGG support enabled. I know that I must link with libogg, libvorbis and libvorbisfile but it still won't work. I have .dylibs, .frameworks and .as of these three libraries and I've tried them all. I'm copying the dylibs/frameworks into the Frameworks folder of the app package in the build phases tab.

I used SDL2_mixer-1.2 and it is ok. ofcourse i needed to change a little bit of the code. Fortunatly only initialization needed to be changed. all functions are same in mixer1.2 and mixer2. However there is some little thing to do. - remove sdl_mixer if installed - install some other dependency -reinstall sdl_mixer DO NOT REMOVE SDL2_MIXER.

Jan 02, 2010 · That is interesting as I could play .ogg with the music capabilities of SDL_mixer, but not the sound effect (Mixer_Chunk version). Thanks for the tip, I will try upgrading. Edit: I installed the 1.2.11 SDL XCode framework with no luck.
