Jul 26, 2009 · I do not use SDCC but there are quite some examples on the web. Google will help you. You may want to subscribe to the sdcc-user mailing list and gnupic mailing list if you want to get helps for sdcc with PIC. SDCC is pretty good for 8051 but not that good for yet. SDCC has two branches for PIC, PIC16 and PIC18. They are quite different.

I successfully use/adapt existing PIC18 code in order to compile FreeRTOS with SDCC. This works for an simple application with 3 tasks, each task blinking a led, but this needs more testing. What is […]

SDCC for PIC18F - Martin Dubuc's Web Page

    http://mdubuc.freeshell.org/Sdcc/
I had seen SDCC a while back, but it didn't seem to support the PIC very well. I found out to my surprise (thanks Aaron) that the latest source had good support for PIC16F series. Unfortunately, there was no support for 18F series. I talked to Scott Dattalo who had added the 14-bit core PIC support to SDCC.

However, SDCC has a port for PIC18 microcontrollers (this port is under development). In the last FreeRTOS distribution there is only Cygnal port for SDCC. Pesonaly, I’m very interested in SDCC PIC18 port for FreeRTOS. Is […]
