Jan 28, 2020 · After about a year of wonderful scanning, my Fujitsu ScanSnap S510 all of a sudden doesn't "catch" paper automatically to feed it through the scanner. I can manually feed paper through if I take out the pad ASSY, but if I click it back in (which I think I'm doing correctly), there doesn't seem to be enough "space" for paper to feed.

This website provides written instructions for both cleaning and replacing consumable parts in the S500 and S510 ScanSnaps. In my S500M the pick roller and pad assembly need to be replaced after 100,000 and 50,000 sheets respectively.
