Feb 26, 2018 · I'm still fairly confident no SATA/SAS RAID Controller, even modern ones, support TRIM. By TRIM, I mean the use of the TRIM (SATA) or UNMAP (SAS) command sent directly from the OS. Most Enterprise drives just have large amounts of Overprovisioning and very aggressive garbage collection to mitigate that.
