I installed SAP GUI Version 7.30 on Windows 8 Enterprise and Professional 64bit and is fully functioning and compatible. There is some incompatibility issue using Business Explorer features with Office 2010 64 because SAP libraries are written for Office 32 bit environment only.

Aug 22, 2012 · My Client has recently installed Windows 7 & upgraded MS Office to 2010 version. They are using SAP GUI 7.20 PL11. For excel workbooks it is fine, but for word documents, when a file is created in SAP, a blank document gets created. This works ok when we try Office 2007 version.

Aug 24, 2018 · SAP GUI and BEx Frontend must have the same version (for e.g. SAP GUI 7.40 fits to BI Add-On based on 7.40) Its strongly recommended to use the latest patches of SAP GUI and BEx Frontend. Office 64 BIT versions are NOT supported for BEx tools, see note 1995532 .

Apr 01, 2011 · You have to stay on Office 2010 (32bit), SAP GUI 7.20 and Windows 7 until 2013 or later. You will get a new GUI 7.30 with support of Office 2010 (64bit) with all errors and problems a new release has. The other option: If you have migration plans to Windows 7 and Office 2010 (64bit), get rid of BEx and use Analyzer 1.x on Office 2010 (64-bit) .
