The problem you have is Samsung do not now say the tv supports DTS, so you can claim misrepresentation. Samsung should have made it clear their 2017/2018 models no longer support DTS, but they did not. Not what I would call fair but hard to claim against.

I have just bought a Samsung nu8000 and I stream some movies etc from an external drive, the video plays but sound files are not supported. I understand that Samsung no longer support dts sound files but does anyone know how to get round this problem.

Samsung tvs are now garbage. No dolby vision, no dts support, do not buy a Samsung tv if you want up to date formats. My Q9FN would 100% go back if it wasn't out of its 30 day no quibble return, 2000 nits is too bright, headache inducing so what's the point of this set?

Nov 27, 2019 · Your samsung care level 2 support still wont' call me back regarding my newly bought K950 not playing atmos. If you're not going to support DTS HD MA or DTS X, the least you could do is provide some support for someone who's having trouble with the sound bar.
