Who would bother to check the firmware version under Contact Samsung when a version number is displayed just by highlighting the Software Update option. It is not effiecent to have to have two different names representing the same version.

I followed USB update on-screen instructions but TV did not find firmware update files. Using my computer, I moved all the upgrade files out of folders, and deleted the folders so that the TV doesn't have to look in folders to see the files on the USB drive.
