To work around this issue, see the Workaround section below.. Disable support for legacy SafeBoot 2.x files. Registry modifications are irreversible and could cause system failure if done incorrectly.

Safeboot uses preboot encryption to allow the PC to boot up. Once started the OS (and any apps) has normal access to the disk so Quest should run normally at NTFS level etc. Used it a while back on a few laptops with no problems - although you may have to watch out for its ability to link back to the central server if you are using that option.
