Technical details: In B2, the machine account was used to access the feed; since this account is part of “All Authenticated Users” most feeds just worked.

Jul 22, 2014 · The built in RSS feed will work with authenticated feeds that are in the same security context as the page holding the web part (same site collection). If you really need an authenticated feed web part then you have to get one from the third party market or build in security authentication.
