Where a shear key is required, the minimum number of shear keys shall be two per floor plan. Construction details of the shear keys shall be as shown on Figure 6 below. Shear keys shall be a minimum of 900mm long. The holes shall be over-drilled at least 100mm and a polystyrene RibRaft Shear Key Support placed into the bottom of each hole.
