Oct 11, 2008 · Re: Uninstall printer icon in system tray - How to? Normally to remove a printer, you need to go to control panel, add/remove programs and select the printer from there and un-install it. Try this first and let me know if the printer is still there.

Dell Support has never worked properly. If you remove it through Add or Remove Programs you can get rid of the Support Alert icon and it's doubtful that you'll miss the program.

Jul 19, 2012 · There isn't a way to disable the system tray icon of the software from auto-running at start up. However, leaving it run in the system tray has a really low impact on the system. If you want to remove it from the notification area, I'd suggest you boot your machine in clean boot state and disable Dell DataSafe from the list of start up items.

May 02, 2018 · You should be able to hide that "Safely Remove" icon by right-clicking the Taskbar, choose Taskbar settings then in the section that mentions Select which icons appear on the taskbar and set that feature to Off. If wanting to remove a USB Thumb drive there's still the Eject on the drive properties in File Manager.
