    Sep 14, 2009 · The biggest impact to reducing the amount of traffic over the link for a RDP session is to reduce the colour depth and the screen resolution - not having a 8bit colour depth nearly doubles my traffic when using 15/16-bit. Hmmm... clearly Microsoft is spoilt for bandwidth and latency for them to make such a blunder.

    Nov 19, 2012 · If you are unable to resolve this issue you may uninstall the RD Client 8.0 from your workstation. If you are not connecting to RDP 8.0 endpoints then there is not much benefit to using it. The update to uninstall would be KB2592687. Thanks.-TP
