So it seems that, after pressing "Off", you need to select the Remote Buddy activity on the Harmony first for the Harmony Smart Hub to reconnect. In my test, Remote Buddy was the only Device and Activity set up in the Harmony software.

Feb 03, 2012 · remote buddy will only receive apple remote commands think it has to do with the IR receiver on the Mac. but you can set it up so it responds to multiple IDs, so you set up harmony to send play-28 for the 1 key, left-28 for the 2 key, and work your way through, you then have to keep all that straight in remote buddy when you do your key mapping.

I for some reason cannot change the Apple Remote's ID. I have tried doing what the guide says under 'Step 2' and pushing 'Menu & Play/Pause' for 5 seconds to change the ID but it isn't changing. At least the app "Remote Buddy" isn't recognizing the change if it is. I don't know what is causing the problem.

Dec 24, 2013 · The ultimate solution is a wireless remote app. These are available, but incomplete & other devices do not yet support wireless remote. But, the Buddy TV remote can be used for a u-verse STB. Previously, I found the RF remote lacking in RF power - in the same room, twelve feet away, hidden only by a thin sheet of cardboard.
