I would very much like to have this in rdesktop. We (a contractor for a company that does work for the federal government) would/require FIPS support in all connections to Windows Vista/7/2008 systems.. The federal government is pushing settings on all systems that require FIPS compliance. For users of Unix/Linux system rdesktop is the preferred way to connect to Windows systems.

Aug 11, 2009 · This is one of the problems when using a non-Windows client OS, that you are limited to what the open source developers have added to the rdp client, in this case rdesktop. Just want to mention that Micorsoft's own RDP client for OS X does [still] not support RDP6.1 (At least not the TS-broker thing) either. So it's not 'just' an open source issue.

Feb 18, 2016 · RDP 6.0 or later message after installing windows 10 I had windows home 7 and upgraded to windows 10. Before I had no issue accessing my work computer from home, but now I get a message that says I need RDP version 6.0 or later.
