Learned in bible study yesterday that some seminary students are raising support for school. This really infuriated me for a two big reasons: 1) Getting an institutionalized degree is not a "lifetime missions trip" and 2) Debt is a responsibility. They're playing the God card to get out of responsibility for paying for school.

May 24, 2008 · As many of you may know, tuition for seminary isn't cheap. I was wondering if it is appropriate to raise financial support for seminary (send out letters to churches and individuals). Since I am just representing myself, and not any missionary organization... the concept is a little bit strange to me.
