Jul 26, 2018 · I was in a local rod shop a while back and he doesn't use radiator support rods at all. He makes a rigid frame for the radiator that the front sheet metal attaches to and a custom radiator that floats in the frame. The radiator is there for cooling only and not as a structural piece.
