Jan 16, 2008 · We were winning in Vietnam, but the media turned the public against the war. calls for withdrawal reached a fever pitch by 1970, and at that point, the war was lost. We won it militarily, but we lost support of the war. I fear that the war in Iraq will suffer a similar fate.
