Dec 22, 2015 · Referencing Kopper27's support case helped expedite an answer to my case. After they reviewed by PSOD stack traces, they concluded the fix suggested was appropriate. They also indicated this issue is documented in a KB: Purple Diagnostic screen shows VmMemCow_PShareRemoveHint@vmkernel#nover+0xa2 stack: 0x19ab7, 0xffff in VMware ESXi 5.1.x
