The Latitude is sitting in a Dockingstation. Because the KVM-Switch doesnt support USB-Keyboard and -mouse i have to use a PS/2-mouse. But the problem is, that this mouse and the integrated touchpad/trackpoint in the Latitude are using both the PS/2-Port. This gives following behaviour: I cant use the scrollwheel, it just doesnt work.

Nov 23, 2007 · I have a problem with the "PS/2 Trackpoint Support" software. It works perfectly fine when I first log in, but everytime I switch users (I have the Guest account enabled), it causes my tablet to freeze or BSOD. I know that the "PS/2 Trackpoint support" is the poblem, because I disabled all my startup items until the problem stopped happening.

The new software update fixes the touchpad only, but trackpoint is still broken. They should learn from other companies how to release well tested updates. The thing that bothered me the most is that they left this update for about 2 months and they knew it was bricking people's touchpad from this thread. $3,000 is a very expensive mistake

May 08, 2013 · The keyboard's cord ends in two PS/2 plugs, one for the keyboard and one for the mouse, the latter I believe refers to the integrated Synaptics touchpad, and the integrated Trackpoint. My office PC has no PS/2 inputs, so I purchased a Ziotek PS/2 Keyboard and Mouse to USB Adapter (ZT1040444) to make the connection between the keyboard and the PC.
