PdaNet Proxy Mode Once you install PdaNet, you will notice a Proxy Mode in addition to the classic Dialup Mode (also called Phone-As-Modem mode that we have had in previous versions of PdaNet). Officially WiFi Direct mode only supports computers and tablets. However if the device you are trying to connect has a proxy settings then it may still work. Just set proxy address to 192.168.49.1 port 8000 while connected to the WiFi Direct Hotspot. (See instructions for Chromebook for example.)
